Apply to Ventura’s council advisory groups through new online portal
Ventura, CA – The City of Ventura is excited to announce the launch of its new Boards and Commissions (BAC) Portal, a modern online platform that makes it easier than ever for residents to learn about and apply to serve on the City’s various boards, commissions, and committees.
The City has eleven different boards, commissions, and committees comprised of residents, which advise and assist the City Council on related programs and initiatives.
“We are thrilled to introduce this new tool as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance transparency and community involvement,” said City Clerk Michael MacDonald. “This is an exciting step forward in helping more residents take an active role in shaping Ventura’s future.”
Key features of the new BAC Portal include: · A user-friendly experience with easy-to-navigate information. · A simplified application process to apply for open seats online. · Real-time updates on vacancies, recruitment timelines, and meeting schedules. With a wide variety of opportunities available—from environmental and cultural affairs to planning and public safety—there’s a place for everyone to get involved.
Whether a first-time volunteer or a returning applicant, this new tool simplifies the process and offers a more transparent, user-friendly experience.
