Summary: Autism Society Ventura County (ASVC) is seeking a highly organized and mission-driven individual to help advance our work promoting access and opportunity for all individuals within the Autism community and their families. As the Project and Administrative Coordinator, you will provide critical support in the coordination and implementation of assigned grant-funded projects, coordinate key administrative processes, and support ASVC’s community outreach and engagement efforts.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the day-to-day coordination and implementation of assigned grant-funded projects including ASVC’s Book Club program.

  • Tracks project metrics and milestones, ensuring alignment with grant requirements and deliverables.

  • Completes and submits grant reporting documents in a timely manner and in collaboration with the Executive Director (ED).

  • Provides administrative support to the organization, including managing the organization’s database, current product inventory, and  maintenance of ASVC’s Master Calendar and Resource Guide. 

  • Maintains current inventory of ASVC materials and supplies for all programs, projects, events, fundraisers, and office space placing orders as needed.

  • Collaborates with ED and colleagues to perform administrative tasks related to programs, events, and projects to ensure successful implementation.

  • Provides both remote and in person support to assigned programs, support groups, projects, events, and fundraisers.

  • Compiles board meeting packets and assists with taking committee meeting minutes, as needed.

  • Builds relationships with community members and collaborators to support grant-funded initiatives.

  • Operates within ASVC’s project and program budget for maximum impact.

  • Attends community outreach events and helps with all aspects of the events including event set up and breakdown. 

  • Raises awareness about the mission of ASVC through communications and public engagement..

  • Assists with ASVC’s annual events, including Aut2Run. 

Job Requirements:

  • Flexible schedule—including regular availability for evenings and weekends for programs, events, and community engagement. 

  • Strong ability to manage time and adjust priorities to meet shifting deadlines and opportunities.

  • Skilled at running meetings, both virtually (Zoom) and in-person.

  • Collaborative and professional demeanor when working with colleagues, Board Members, volunteers, and the broader community.

  • Creative problem solver and responsible steward of ASVC’s resources.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational and project tracking skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).

  • High School Diploma and 1–2 years of relevant experience in project/program coordination, implementation, and administration. 

  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation throughout Ventura County required.

Not Required, but Appreciated:

  • Experience supporting nonprofit grant compliance or reporting.

  • Experience working with individuals with Autism or other developmental disabilities (personal or professional).

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).

Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision plans available on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. ASVC contributes a flat amount of $350 monthly toward selected plan(s).

  • Simple IRA enrollment eligibility after 90 days of employment. ASVC provides a dollar-for-dollar match up to 3% with no vesting period at the time of enrollment.

The base pay range for this role reflects what ASVC expects to pay for the position, though actual compensation may vary depending on experience.
