After her husband, Dennis Leoni survived two catastrophic strokes in 2016, Deborah told him that she felt he may have a higher calling. As time passed and Dennis slowly but surely improved through the healing power of golf, the idea of the higher calling began to gel, and Recovery Shot was born. Years of nonprofit executive experience prepared Deborah well for this new experience. She has previously served as Executive Director of The Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors; Key Agent for The Bob and Dolores Hope Trust benefitting The Bob and Dolores Hope Foundation; and Development Director for the Latino Theater Company. Before her nonprofit career, Deborah worked in the television industry as a high-level network executive, development executive and writer and producer. Today, she is grateful to help others recover through the healing power of golf, friendship and fresh air.
