The Ventura Police Community Foundation is sponsoring a Special Women's Night Out event on Tuesday, February 25 from 6 to 9 pm at the Moose Lodge #1394 in Ventura.
The topic is UNDERSTANDING HUMAN TRAFFICKING and is meant to help women become educated and empowered to recognize the signs of trafficking, and learn how to prevent it and take action against it.
Speakers will include Ventura Police Detective & Special Victims Unit Officer Ash'Lee Gray, representatives of the District Attorney's office, and counselors in the field.
The cost is $25, and includes appetizers and a beverage. Doors will open at 5:50 p.m. While primarily intended for the women in our community, men are also welcome to attend.
