VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (October 1, 2025) — Ribbon-cutting at its Camarillo branch regrand opening on Aug. 19 wasn’t the only celebration to be had that day for Ventura County Credit Union (VCCU). During its reception, VCCU marked its 7th $75,000 contribution as part of its 75th anniversary “Year of Giving” initiative, presenting El Concilio with the significant donation in recognition of their vital community work.

“VCCU was founded on the principle of ‘people helping people,’ and for 75 years, we’ve remained committed to giving back to the communities we serve,” said Linda Rossi, president and CEO of VCCU. “Our partnership with El Concilio reflects our shared mission of supporting local families and ensuring everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive.”

The event was also highlighted by a heartfelt board member dedication honoring longtime volunteer Sue Tatangelo, who has served VCCU and the Ventura County community with unwavering commitment and passion.

“We’re equally honored to recognize Sue Tatangelo for her years of leadership and service, which have left an enduring impact on our credit union and our members,” said Rossi.

With the new branch, VCCU expands its reach and reaffirms its role as a trusted financial partner that values both innovation and community connection.

As part of its 75th anniversary, VCCU has pledged $750,000 in donations to 10 nonprofits throughout 2025, reinforcing its legacy of philanthropy, volunteerism and community-building.
