Our staff at Mile 26 is a fun group of runners who have a passion for being active and we are currently looking for a few people who are interested in being a part of our team. Our store is unlike a lot of retail, since we are a specialty running store, people come in asking for help in finding the perfect shoe (socks, insoles, apparel) for their needs and all members of the staff go through extensive training to get them comfortable with all that we have to offer.

Starting pay $17-$20/ hour
Before submitting, please review the requirements below:
- You must be able to work a minimum of 2 full days per week, including some weekend days (We are open Monday - Friday 11am - 6pm, Saturdays 11am - 5pm, and Sundays 11am - 4pm.)
- You must love running and enjoy talking about running (we prefer someone who is an avid runner)
- You need to enjoy being around people
- You need to like shoes
- You need to be able to memorize and understand a lot of material (we have about 80 different shoes and all of our staff is very familiar with each shoe including prices, purpose, and details)
- You need to enjoy problem-solving. Our goal is to make customers comfortable, especially through footwear. Often times customers come in with pain and we need to problem-solve to reduce the pain and get them comfortable.
- You need to be comfortable on a computer (our point of sale system is computer-based and relatively straightforward for those who know the basics of a computer and can learn new software)
- You need to be able to multi-task (sometimes you have to be able to work with multiple parties at the same time)
- You need to be able to take initiative. For example, if it is a slow day we want you to be able to find things to do such as cleaning, restocking, etc.
- You need to be willing to help out in keeping the store clean and tidy.
