Advocacy 101: Make Your Voice Count
Learn how decisions get made in Ventura, and how to get involved.
Hosted by the Ventura Chamber of Commerce
October 22 & 29 | 5:30–7:00 PM | Virtual & Free
Space is intentionally limited to 10 participants to keep the sessions interactive and allow for meaningful discussion and hands-on practice. We ask that all attendees attend both sessions.
Ventura Chamber members only. YPG members receive priority registration for the first week.
Join the Ventura Chamber Young Professionals Group for Advocacy 101, a two-part, interactive virtual series designed to give young professionals the tools and confidence to engage in local policy and make an impact. We’ll break down how local government works, who makes which decisions, where to find reliable information, and how to stay informed about the issues affecting Ventura. Then, we’ll put those skills into practice by reviewing a public meeting agenda, exploring a current local issue, and learning how to make your voice heard. Whether you want to advocate for an issue you care about, serve on a local commission, run for office someday, or simply better understand what’s happening in your community, this series is a great place to start.
