Join Elisa Torres, a featured artist in our InnoVision exhibition, on November 3rd from 2-4pm for a special nicho-making workshop. A nicho is a decorative shadow box deeply rooted in Mexican/Latinx culture, often used to honor loved ones during celebrations like Día de los Muertos. In this workshop, you’ll use upcycled materials to create a unique nicho while also incorporating personal photos or keepsakes to make it meaningful and personal. Elisa will guide participants through the process, providing insight into the cultural significance of the nicho and sharing her expertise as a creative artist. This workshop is open to artists of all skill levels, and it’s a great opportunity to explore upcycled art in a cultural context. Early bird special: $30 for members, $40 for non-members. Price will increase after October 20th! Register now! Participants must be 12 or older, with adult supervision. Registration is required by October 27. Don’t miss this unique experience!
