The American Red Cross is going to put on its forth Annual “Operation: Ride for the Red” bicycle event. with California Resources Corporation as its title sponsor. There will be a 30, 60 and 100 mile supported rides through “the riches of Ventura County” on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Monies raised will benefit American Red Cross Service to Armed Forces (SAF) which supports members of the military, veterans and their families as they prepare for, cope with and respond to the challenges of military service. The ride will start and finish at the American Red Cross headquarters in Camarillo. Military and veterans will receive a 50% discount by contacting DI@DKKDstaffing.com. There will be 7 rest stops along the routes with an awards party with food and entertainment at the conclusion of the ride. Entry fees will be will be $75, $85 and $95 with an early discount of 10%. And, all entrants will be eligible for a free drawing to spend a week at the El Dorado Ranch Golf Resort in San Felipe, Baja California. The Celebrity Host of the Ride will be Steve Hegg Olympic gold medal winner in cycling and holder of 13 United States National Cycling Championship titles.
